First ReQoL Community of Practice publication
Following on from the ReQoL Community of Practice (CoP) event on 29 November 2018, the ReQoL implementation team have written a short report describing the World Café workshop, which has just been published in the Journal of Patient Reported Outcomes.
Many thanks to all our valued CoP members who contributed to the workshop.
Short summary of the workshop
A collaborative interactive workshop took place during a national event aimed at supporting the implementation of ReQoL in practice. A modified ‘World Café’ process was run to explore delegates’ expectations and priorities for a ReQoL Community of Practice (CoP).
The aim of the World Café process was to bring people together to discuss issues that matter to them, tapping into tacit wisdom through interactive group discussions. The process allowed participants to engage in evolving rounds of dialogue in smaller groups while remaining connected to a larger conversation.
Forty-eight delegates from 23 different organisations participated in the hour long workshop. The following themes were identified: making links; sharing learning and tasks and creating change.
Participants supported the creation of a ReQoL CoP that would enable people working in different organisations to make links with each other, share learning, best practices and tasks, and create cultural change within their respective organisations.
The establishment of a CoP can be an innovative and self-sustaining way of supporting the implementation of PROMs in routine practice.
