ReQoL and the CQUIN

We are pleased to confirm that NHS Digital recently obtained a ReQoL licence so that the ReQoL could be flowed to the Mental Health Services Data (MHSDS) to support the national understanding of MH outcomes. 

The implication is that NHS Trusts wishing to use ReQoL for all purposes connected with the delivery and improvement of publicly funded health and social care in the United Kingdom will be covered by this licence.

We can also confirm that the ReQoL measures are included in the Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN). NHS England has confirmed that the MHSDS Technical output specification is currently being updated to reflect that as ReQoL is not included in the current draft. The document will be published in April 2020.
